Unequality in Brazil

Unequality in Brazil

Unequality in Brazil is obvious and demands the attention of anyone who's ever visited Brazil, however  brutal as it may seem, it is getting better according to the latest figures.

Between 2001 and 2005 unequality in Brazil has fallen by 4.6%. That result may seem too small given the scale of the problem in Brazil, but nevertheless it was only matched by a quarter of the countries studied.

The numbers are from Brazil's own IPEA (Instituto de Pesquisa Econômica Aplicada).
According to IPEA, the country has advanced greatly and in a trivial form that is rarely achieved.

However, Brazil is not nearly over it's unequality issues, and although a positive result is a  major boost and testament to the country's progress, it should not distract from the gigantic mission that Brazilian people and economy face in bringing millions of its people above the poverty line, as well as achieving a balanced distribution of the country's large wealth.
